Following on from the complimentary 20-minute consultation and we have determined we are a good fit, we sit down with you and it is here where we listen, question, and analyze plans. We work closely with you to understand your vision and the purpose of the project and we’ll discuss details such as budgets and timelines.

This is a vital stage as we ensure that everyone understands the broader picture and end result. Following this meeting, you will receive a fixed fee proposal outlining the scope of work and a breakdown of expectations for the project.

During the concept and schematic stage, we focus on creating a design concept that reflects our client’s vision for the project. We analyze the site and the existing space, measuring, making notes, and taking lots of pictures to better understand the space. We start preparations for a concept package that includes philosophy and ideas for the interiors.

At the end of this stage, we present you with a visual direction for the project, which may include finishes, images, and sketches. We ensure here that everyone is on the same page and that the design concept aligns with your vision before moving on to the next stage of the project.

This is where the concept starts to come to life. This part does take the longest as we are hitting the ground running. You will be presented with mood boards, 3D renders, floor plans, joinery drawings, elevations, product samples, material samples, fixtures, and fittings. This is generally a longer presentation meeting clients as we get lost in all the detail and make sure that every aspect of the design is to your liking.

We will also be finalizing budgets and timelines during this stage ensuring that everything is aligned with your expectations Once the design is finalized and approved, we move on to the next phase of the project.

Once all the details are finalized in stage 3, a full set of documentation is developed for the purpose of construction and is ready for tender.

The finishes, fixtures, fittings, equipment schedule, lighting, and furniture schedules are all finalized at this stage. Additionally, during this stage, we may work closely with engineers, architects, and other consultants to ensure that all necessary permits and approvals are obtained.

We also provide detailed schedules for project timelines, construction, and delivery of materials and furniture. This documentation stage is crucial for the success of the project as it provides a clear and detailed plan for construction, ensuring that everything runs smoothly and according to plan.

Tenders are submitted for client review and contractor engagement. Once contractors are approved and appointed, we provide support to the trades team to ensure the proposed design outcomes are on task. We conduct site visits and are available to chat with tradespeople, sometimes offering further suggestions.

During the procurement phase, we begin to order and source all the items required for the project, including finishes, fixtures, fittings, furniture, and equipment. We work closely with our trusted suppliers to ensure that items are delivered on time and within budget.

We also manage the installation of all items and coordinate with the tradespeople to ensure a smooth process. Any changes or updates to the project plan are communicated clearly and promptly to the trades team and the client.

At this final stage, we provide design management to ensure the project is executed as per the design intent. We may oversee the construction process and coordinate with the trades team to ensure everything is going according to plan.

Once construction is complete, we move on to the decoration and styling of the carefully selected soft furnishings, window treatments, rugs, furniture, lighting objects, and art that have been curated for the project. We present a full list of items with pricing, lead times, supplier names, etc. to the client for approval. After the client approves the list, we order and procure the items through our network of suppliers.

We oversee the delivery and placement of all items and ensure they are installed as per the design intent. We arrange styling and photography shortly after the installation is complete to capture the final look of the space.
